PUMA Singapore has officially signed a two-year sponsorship deal with reigning RHB Singapore Cup champions, Home United Football Club (HUFC). Effective 19 February 2014, PUMA will become the official kit sponsor of HUFC. This partnership marks PUMA’s first-ever sponsorship of a football club in Singapore.

As the official kit sponsor, PUMA Singapore will produce both playing and training kits as well as apparels for HUFC’s S.League, Prime League and Centre of Excellence (COE) teams for two seasons.

This partnership represents PUMA’s focus on performance and its commitment to further develop its football business globally. The sponsorship of HUFC also embodies PUMA Singapore’s support for local football and the development of young players in Singapore.

“It is truly an honour to work with one of the best teams in Singapore, having won the S.League twice and Singapore Cup 6 times,” commented Mr. Miguel Andrade, PUMA Southeast Asia General Manager, on this partnership. “PUMA Singapore is also excited to work with a club with one of the best youth development programmes in Singapore. HUFC’s holistic approach towards developing their young players makes this a natural partnership.”

Mr. Anselm Lopez, HUFC Chairman, said, “HUFC is delighted to announce this exciting kit partnership with Puma Singapore for the 2014 and 2015 S.League seasons. This is yet another groundbreaking moment for HUFC and once again shows our commitment and enthusiasm towards Singapore Football. Both Puma and HUFC are aligned in bringing up youth football development and there will be collaborative events for the sports loving community, particularly for our youth in Singapore. I believe that Puma and HUFC can go a long way in aiding the Singapore Football cause and together, we aspire to be biggest club brand in Singapore and one of the biggest in the region as well.”
