28 September 2013, Singapore – One of the coolest experiences you could ever think up, Freeing SG has just hit Singapore. “Freeing SG” is a real escape game originated from Freeing HK. You will pit against a ticking clock, where you’ll be desperately working to try and find your way out of the room. Each chamber is carefully designed and has a plot of its own, giving you a first person gaming experience as though you are in a movie. You’ll have to find the clues, solve the mystery and escape from the chamber in time or brace yourself for the consequences.

“Singaporeans find life too boring, too pressured, too dull, too monotonous. They need a bit of entertainment to escape this life. Freeing SG is like being inside of a movie or a video game – a great way to break out from boring old activities,” says Ms Jo Lim, CEO of Freeing SG. “Companies or schools can engage us for their adventure learning, leadership development and team-bonding exercises as well.”

Freeing SG aims to add a new dimension to a Singaporean entertainment scene dominated by movies and shopping. Four to eight players are stuck in a locked room or location where their only way out is to search for clues, solve puzzles and uncover secrets within a given time limit. Say goodbye to mindless amusement – players will really need their wits about them!

Freeing SG’s current line up of four rooms will be expanded gradually in batches to a total 10 rooms by the end of October. Players will get to choose themed environments like horror or others where they have to solve a mysterious crime. Freeing SG will also have a dedicated Research and Development team to constantly update its entertainment offerings.

Freeing HK experienced immense success when it opened in Hong Kong, with worldwide media such as CNN, Agence France-Presse (AFP), Shanghai’s OTV and Taiwan’s ETTV heaping praise on them for their innovative design and game play.

“We hope to take this concept much further and open 50 outlets in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region in the next two or three years.” Shared Jordan Deng, Chairman of Freeing SG. “Singapore is a great place to launch this from because of its connectivity, robust economy and high education levels.”
