Review – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

TMNT-2014-Desktop-Wallpaper-HD1

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles returns and this latest adaptation will not please the die hard fans. The decision to center the show on Megan Fox, who plays April O’ Neil, shows that Michael Bay has chosen to put beauty and sex appeal forefront. The film centers around her character’s discovery of the turtles in a ludicrous plot. Her lackluster performance brought on major yawns, but thankfully the witty turtle repartee and action scenes save the film from being a total disaster.  A weak plot, bad acting, the token hot babe, and CGI violence. Reminds me of Transformers, no wait, that’s Michael Bay too. She needs to stop the thing she does with her lips, its getting annoying.

Leo is the leader, Donnie is the tech nerd, Raph is the massive outlaw and Mikey is the one turtle that justifies the Teenage in the title. As a matter of fact, if there’s only one reason for you to see this movie, it’s strictly for Mikey’s hilarious one-liners. After a while, you’d realize that it’s pointless spending energy getting mad at the movie.
