Balestier’s Heritage with Photography Contest

After the success of the Balestier Heritage Race which the Ramada and Days Hotels Singapore At Zhongshan Park co-organised with WIT (Web In Travel) on 12 June 2014, the Ramada and Days Hotels Singapore will be continuing on its efforts to raising the awareness for Balestier’s rich heritage by running a photography contest in September, focusing on Balestier’s heritage, be it sites, people, food or culture.

The contest will culminate in a selection of 12 photos which will be featured in the hotels’ 2015 limited edition calendar, where copies will be made available for sale and proceeds donated to the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.

The top three winners, determined by a panel of four judges which includes photography professionals and the hotels’ general manager, will walk away with attractive prizes sponsored by Canon and the Ramada and Days Hotels Singapore At Zhongshan Park as follows:

First Prize (worth over $1300):

–  Canon EOS 1100D Kit (EF S18-55 IS II), worth $799

–  A one-night stay in the Ramada Singapore for 2, worth $420

–  A weekend buffet dinner for 2 at Flavours At Zhongshan Park, worth $112

Second Prize (worth over $1100)

–  Canon EOS 1200D Kit (EF S18-55 IS II), worth $759

–  A one-night stay in the Days Hotel Singapore for 2, worth $370

Third Prize (worth over $600)

–  Canon EOS M Kit (EF M18-55), worth $499

–  Dinner for two at Flavours At Zhongshan Park, worth $112

The first 50 participants will also receive a collectible Heritage souvenir sponsored by the National Heritage Board of Singapore.

In addition, the contest will be open for voting, where the most popular photo (by votes) will win a buffet dinner for four persons at Days Hotel Singapore’s all-day dining restaurant, 21 on Rajah, worth $200. 120 lucky voters will also receive collectible souvenirs from Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.

The top three winning photos, along with nine other photos selected by the hotel’s management team, will be featured in the hotels’ 2015 limited edition calendar. Copies will be made available for sale and proceeds will be donated to the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.
