Give The Gift Of Green Tea By The Body Shop

We have not heard of anyone who dislikes Japanese Green Tea. Green Tea has been revered for over 400 years in social and cultural activities and it also is known to soothe both the mind and soul. But did you know that some Japanese women apply it to their skin and bathe in it?

It’s a skin care secret that’s been part of beauty regime for generations, believed to help retain moisture and tighten pores.

The Body Shop has taken this knowledge a step further, creating Fuji Green Tea™ range, the first body range infused with real green tea leaves and their benefits. The Body Shop’s green tea comes from the heartland of Japan, the pristine Mount Fuji region. There, experts hand-pick the finest shoots to capture the potent antioxidant power into its new Green Tea range of body and skin care products.

From April onward, The Body Shop would be releasing the Fuji Green Tea™ skincare and body care range of items. This time, this range seems to cater something for everyone. For the traditionalists, there would be a Fuji Green Tea™ Exfoliating Soap infused with crushed green tea leaves for that “green” feel of clean-ness. For those who prefer luxurious bath soaks, there would be Fuji Green Tea™ Bath Tea along with a very thoughtful Fuji Green Tea™ Bath Infuser to prevent icky residues in your bathtub.

Fuji Green Tea™ Body Butter Review

The thoughtful folks at TBS surprised me with the Fuji Green Tea™ Body Butter (SGD32.90) to try. Usually I am not a huge fan of Body Butters due to the high humidity of our Singapore Climate. The Fuji Green Tea™ Body Butter is suitable for all skin types but probably those who prefer their creams to be less rich, could opt for the Fuji Green Tea™ Body Sorbet which provides a “cooling” sensation when applied on the skin. I think the latter is great for the morning rush.

The Fuji Green Tea™ Body Butter has a very refreshing Green Tea scent which is pleasantly soothing. The texture of the cream was not as rich as I thought to be and was sufficient night cream for drier areas like the calves and elbows. This Fuji Green Tea™ Body Butter is definitely a refreshing welcomer compared to The Body Shop’s fruity range of creams. In my opinion, the scent is rather unisex and work-friendly. I could imagine your significant secretly snooping some Body wash or Body Butter!

Layering of scents can be done as well as The Body Shop also features a Fuji Green Tea™ Eau De Cologne (SGD28.90)

Overall, a decent and wallet-friendly body cream which is refreshing to use and not overly sophisticated.

Metrpolitant RECOMMENDS it and this range would be available from 02 April 15 at all The Body Shop Stores.
