We were thrilled to be invited for the preview of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, thanks to our buddies from SUPERADRIANME.com. After watching the movie, this was a refreshing change for those who loved the old series and definitely enticing for those new to the franchise. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is not perfect, there were parts that were too draggy but the we felt the movie definitely lived up to the pre-release hype. The three original stars — Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill — all are in tow, along with a host of talented up-and-comers like Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o and Daisy Ridley.
Our favorite character in the show? BB-8 definitely! We need to get our hands on the BB-8 Sphero now!
Our verdict? This is a great movie for fans or non-fans of Star Wars.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a 2015 American epic[discuss] space opera film directed, co-produced, and co-written by J. J. Abrams. The seventh installment in the main Star Wars film series, it stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Max von Sydow. The story is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983).
The Force Awakens is the first film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, announced after The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in October 2012. The film is produced by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams, and his long-time collaborator Bryan Burk. Abrams co-wrote the film with Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote the original trilogy films The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi. Abrams and Kasdan rewrote an initial script by Michael Arndt. John Williams, composer for the previous six films, returns to compose the score. Star Wars creator George Lucas served as creative consultant during the film’s early production stages. The Force Awakens is produced by Lucasfilm and Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and will be distributed worldwide by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Filming began in April 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Iceland, with principal photography also taking place in Ireland and Pinewood Studios in England.
The Force Awakens premiered in Los Angeles on December 14, 2015, and is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015, in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D, more than 10 years after the release of the franchise’s last installment, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005). It has received almost universally positive reviews. Disney backed the film with an extensive marketing campaign, and it is expected to break box office records with projected profits exceeding $1 billion. Two sequels, Episode VIII and Episode IX, are scheduled for May 26, 2017 and 2019 respectively.
