As the nation ushers in the momentous SG50 celebrations, LEGO Singapore launches #LEGORebuildSG campaign to celebrate the Singapore spirit, to commemorate and reflect upon our journey as one nation.
To inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow by encouraging seamless creative play, LEGO® Rebuild Your Memories Competition inspires Singaporeans to bring to life their fond memories of Singapore by tapping into nostalgia. Fans are encouraged to submit their LEGO creations via the Official LEGO Facebook Page, where a panel of judges will select 10 winning creations. The winning creations will be displayed at Raffles City Shopping Mall from 10 to 30 July 2015. Along with 10 prizes to giveaway, the top 5 Open Category winners will receive the LEGO® Creator Expert Detective’s Office Set (worth S$299.90) and 5 Junior Category winners will receive the LEGO® City Deep Sea Exploration Vessel (worth S$199.90). LEGO® Rebuild Your Memories Competition is open for participation from now until 26th June 2015.
From 21 to 30 July 2015, public is invited to attend the LEGO® SG50 event at Raffles City Shopping Centre and watch LEGO Certified Professional, Mr. Nicholas Foo constructs an 8.5 foot version of the all time childhood favorite – Dragon Playground. Public are also invited to build alongside and contribute to the making of this Singapore icon.
To further commemorate the occasion, LEGO Singapore introduces the LEGO® SG50 Limited Edition Singapore Icons Mini Builds that include icons such as The Cable Car, Ice Cream Bike, HDB Flat or Dragon Playground. While stocks last, these mini builds are available for redemption from July onwards at selected outlets with minimum purchase of SGD50 of LEGO products in a single receipt, allowing public to build on the spot and take home a piece of Singapore icon.
