1 November 2013, Singapore – The Metropolitant Team checked out the Royal Thai Cusine on our 1 year anniversary. And we definitely ate like royals that night. Royal Thai Cuisine opened 8th August 2013. The husband and wife team, together with a friend of 20 years, decided to open a Thai restaurant with an insistence to stay as authentic as much as possible. They even have a tiny plot of land at their outlet to plant herbs and spices for the yummy Thai food fit for a king.
The kitchen is headed by Mr Chaiyarat Khomkrit, who headed the now defunct “Thai Thai” formerly at Mandarin Hotel Singapore. Not only he has over 20 years of experience in both hotels and chain restaurants, he use to cook for the thai royal family, prime ministers and ambassadors. Assisted by his brother, Adisak Chaiyarat who used to work in many hotels in Thailand, you will be spoilt for choice with the variety of authentic Thai food.
Located at Fairways Drive, off Eng Neo Avenue, the restaurant offers a tranquil and relaxed ambiance amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. Decorations resembles a Thai resort and yes, you may want to slap on some mosquito repellant and you will enjoy the rustic charm of Royal Thai Cusine. More pictures here.
