*The place has just been newly renovated July 2014.
The Metroplitant Team checks out this place as our freelance photographer raved about the delicious yet affordable Thai food. We made our way down on a weekday and found most of the open air tables taken up even though it was already 9pm. Housed within a “food court” under the name of Gao Feng Live Seafood, Aroy Mookata is managed by the same company.
Their Mookata set serves up to 3-4 person as their servings are pretty generous. Do not mistake the luscious piece of pork lard as sliced fish, because you will want to cook that first to give the broth an extra oomph!
But we can’t judge a restaurant’s food just by eating Mookata, so we ventured into a few ala carte dishes. The food taste authentic, portions were generous and service was speedy. Too good to be true. We expected the meal to cost over $60 as we ordered 4 dishes which includes Oyster Omelette and Chicken Thai Green Curry.
The best part of the meal was when we were presented with the bill. It was only $25. Yes, you may thank us later, but first, head down to this outlet before they get too popular and prices goes up.

How is the bill $25 when the mookata is $32 as shown on the billboard?
We ordered the ala carte items and it was only $25 for the 4 dishes and rice. As for the Mookata, we had it another day and it was $32. 🙂
