Local swimwear label launches its Spring Summer 2014 collection – the 50 piece strong Elba, this month. Expanding their repertoire to include cover-ups and kaftans, on top of its signature maillots and stylish bikinis, the designers of the 3 year old label were inspired by their travels in 2013.
The 4 key elements in the Elba collection are based on various resort destinations. Building on their love of prints, the tropical beaches in Phuket and Maldives translated to the unique and vibrant wave prints, tropical bird prints and python prints.
Party central St Tropez brought forth maillots and bikini sets that could easily double up as clothing for clubbing. With the use of shiny black and sexy bronze fabric, accessorised with gold beads and fringes, these pieces will capture attention everywhere you go.
Deep blue coloured pieces were based on the gorgeous blue seas in Greece, where the duo visited for their summer holidays.
The peach pieces were borne as a result of Miami’s sandy beaches and sunny vibes, where Mileti participated in the International Swim Show.
Focusing on subtle sexiness, mesh is used in many pieces to accentuate curves and enhance visual appeal. As per previous collections, the pieces from Elba are made with soft, high quality Italian fabrics and manufactured in Turkey.
The duo, Min and Letizia, share that ‘we love creating versatile swimwear! We want our pieces to bring the wearer beyond the beach. Our one piece with billowy top or one piece with gold beads on the back can be paired with shorts and worn for beach parties or clubbing.’
This new collection includes cover-ups like beach shorts, mini dresses and kaftans. the designers are aiming to position Mileti as a resortwear label and provide more options for ladies to feel stylish and comfortable in their skin.
Priced from SGD 75 to SGD 299 in Singapore, the Mileti Elba collection will be available in stores from end February 2014 onwards and Mileti’s e- store from March 2014 onwards.
