Hearty Breakfast Available At Robertson Walk – Pies & Coffee

The Metropolitant team has always been a fan of Pies & Coffee since they’ve opened up 2 years ago. It’s no surprise that they are having their 3rd outlet at Robertson Walk after their 2 very successful outlet at Rochester Mall and The Grandstand.  After two years serving up piping hot gourmet pies, Pies & Coffee now offers its loyal following of fans and foodies with even more delectable options on the menu.

One can now wake up to hearty breakfasts and soft pancakes, or grab a sandwich or salad for a quick meal. All-time favourite savoury pies will continue to stay on the extensive menu, along with sweet treats such as the signature Carrot Cake, Double Chocolate Cake and Cheese Cake. The health conscious would be glad to know that all food items at Pies & Coffee are cooked with non-hydrogenated vegetable fat, and are free from artificial colours, preservatives or flavourings.

Customers can get a perk-me-up with the café’s famed Toby’s Estate coffee which is brewed with pure Arabica coffee beans. Non-coffee drinkers can explore Pies and Coffee’s specially curated list of gourmet teas which are equally uplifting, or the cooling milkshakes, fruit frappes and coolers to beat the sweltering Singapore heat.

Located in the intimate and laidback surroundings of Robertson Walk, the new 1,500 square feet café stands out with its clean monochromatic décor and inviting aroma from freshly prepared foods and beverages.

Pies and Coffee’s signature breakfast consists of soft toasted Belgian waffles with a crispy crust, velvety scrambled eggs, a cheesy chicken sausage and mesclun salad which is given a homemade citrus dressing just tangy enough to nudge you awake in the morning.

A harmonious combination of truffle mash and cheesy chicken sausage is contained in pastry cups, and topped with a whole egg. The pie-esque creation is then popped into the oven and baked to perfection.

Luscious homemade hazelnut spread is applied generously on a stack of moist pancakes topped off with chopped nuts. One can find fresh bananas and a medley of fresh berries peeking out shyly between the layers.

Stacked gloriously on top of a toasted bagel are truffle mashed potatoes with green peas, sautéed wild mushrooms and velvety scrambled eggs. A generous serving of smoked salmon crowns this glorious dish.
