With the opening of the new Sports Hub in July and an exciting line up of events to take place at the new facilities for the rest of the year, sport enthusiast can now watch sports ‘live’ as an entertainment as we develop as a sporting nation with world-class sporting facilities.
We pick out some of the activities happening in June so that you can be there at the stands to cheer on your favorite athletes and to experience the adrenaline and excitement of real-time action.
TYR 2nd Southeast Asian Swimming Championships
A biennial event hosted by SEA countries on a rotational basis. The event consists of four aquatic disciplines, namely, water polo, synchronized swimming, diving and swimming. The inaugural event was held in Singapore in 2012. In 2014, this event will act as a test event for Sports Hub and for SEAG2015.

World Club 10s Rugby
The World Club 10s will be the first sports event “kicking off” the new National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub on Saturday, 21 June 2014. The new annual event will feature top professional club rugby teams from around the world supported by amateur club tournaments, music and lifestyle attractions to provide two full days of action and entertainment. Each day will run from 9 a.m. to early evening, focused around a series of 20-minute rugby matches from the professional team tournament, which includes 12 Pool matches on the Saturday and 12 Knockout matches on the Sunday.

World University Floorball Championships 2014
The World University Championships (WUC) is part of the sporting events of the International University Sports Federation. Floorball has been part of the World University Championships since 2002. With Singapore hosting the 2014 World University Floorball Championships (WUFC), it will be the first time that a WUFC event is played outside Europe and the second time for Singapore to host major Floorball championships.
