Most of us associate Gillette as a male-only shaving razor but now Gilette has released a razor specially for ladies, Gillette Venus, a 5-blade system which is similar to its male counterparts. Coupled with skin care benefits, Gillette Venus & Olay Sugarberry razor promises to deliver ultra-smooth, luscious and skin that shimmers for a more confident you!
Advanced features of the new Gillette Venus & Olay razor include:
– Rounded pivoting head for easy maneuvering around hard to reach areas such as ankles and back of the knees.
– Five progressively-aligned blades allow for incredibly clean and hair-free skin in just one go, reducing the need for multiple shaves over a single area. Also,less pressure is required for shaving.

This ingenious idea of coupling a shaver with a moisturizing bar not only it provides moisture, but also optimum lubrication and glide over the skin and eliminates the need for separate shaving creams which are a hassle and troublesome to use. I would definitely throw this in my travel bag as it is so travel friendly! There is no need to pack an additional shaving cream can into your luggage which, of course, requires a check-in due to aerosols and volume requirements (Drats, the <100ml requirement!)
For ladies who already own its predecessor,the Venus, there is no need to buy the new Gillette Venus & Olay razors, the Sugarberry razors come in refill cartridges which would also fit perfectly.

I like the nifty and hygienic packaging of the refill cartridges and the razor holder comes in a pretty pink hue. The scent is absolutely divine! I wish there’s a body care series like a shower gel or body lotion to compliment the scent of the Sugarberry! The refill cartridge packaging seals out air and moisture, which prevents the moisture bar from getting icky and mushy due to our humid Singapore environment. Usage-wise is very easy, just wet the razor to review a light lather and shave on!
A good tip for those who are keen to try this, I like to keep the plastic container which comes with the refill as I would keep the cartridge in after use. The plastic container prevents accidental nicks and also keeps the moisture bar clean and hygienic too! The moisture bar on the cartridge also needs to be air-dried after each use and one cartridge lasted me for about 2-3 weeks, but it depends on each individual’s rate of hair growth and frequency of shaving.
