After being away from the industry for two years, attending the first day of Digital Fashion Week Singapore (DFW SG) felt like coming out of sorts. But there is no better way than to kick off day 1 of DFW SG with two great shows from Max Tan and In Good Company Asia!
Max Tan’s S/S 15 showed interesting silhouettes, with quirky lines and oversized shirts as dresses for women. The world’s oldest supermodel, Carmen Dell’Orefice also showed everyone how it is closing the show for Max Tan.
IGC Asia Capsule 5 was very sportswear chic and styled very well that featured many wearable pieces. The show stoppers were certainly the little ones trotting down the runway, which got everyone ooh-ing and aah-ing!
I also managed to get up close with great young up-and-coming Singapore designers that are set to be the next big things! Look out for Linda Hao of Yesah – although at DFW SG she only has a showcase display at the Showroom Space, her first runway show will be the upcoming Bangkok International Fashion Show. Her collection is very funky with great use of colors for that extra pop.
Also one to look out for is Amos of Amos Ananda – a 3 month old brand with amazing potential and lots planned ahead, he has both a men’s and women’s line. His attention to detail and finishing is amazing! His tailored jackets are definitely to die for.
