Club Med unveiled its upgraded resort in Bali, with a new dedicated Children’s Clubs for kids of all ages, brand new family space, and upgraded deluxe rooms. A resort that promises an experience of a lifetime for guests from all walks of life, Club Med Bali is an oasis retreat for families, friends, and couples with exhilarating activities and breath-taking views.
The new family space gives kids of all ages the opportunity to enjoy activities with other children under the careful supervision of Club Med’s famously friendly staff – known as G.Os from the French term Gentils Organisateurs. Designed by renowned French architect Marc Hertrich, the family space is spread over two levels and features intricate wooden structures adorned with traditional Balinese carpentry. Facilities at the new family space cater to children from ages four months to 17 years. The family space also includes a Splash Park area where parents and children can have fun in a water play area together.
The Baby Club Med on the ground floor, offers facilities for little ones aged between four months and 23 months. Decorated with whimsical cloud and kite motifs against a picturesque sky backdrop, it is run by specially trained G.Os. Close attention is paid to the tots’ biological rhythms, nutritional requirements, sleep and play schedules, as well as a healthy balance of activities to ensure the children at Club Med always leave in good spirits.
The wide range of activities available includes flying trapeze, bungee bouncing, arts & crafts, dance lessons and much more. The Children’s Clubs encourage kids to discover and broaden their horizons through interaction and pay with fellow guests. A stimulating and natural environment, Club Med Bali provides them with a window to the rest of the world. While mixing with other nationalities and forming new friendships, children at Club Med Bali also get to discover the natural diversity and local culture of Bali.
“For anyone looking for the ultimate destination to spend a family holiday on one of the world’s most truly magical islands, Club Med Bali Resort has it all,” says Heidi Kunkel, Club Med’s South East Asia Pacific CEO. “With these latest additions following on from our enhanced new Deluxe rooms, gourmet lounge and Zen Pool with its incredible sea view, you can see that the new and improved Club Med Bali Resort has something for everyone, guaranteeing a magical, restful and worry-free stay.”
With the Children’s Club in place, parents can truly relax in the serene surroundings of the new Zen Pool, perfectly encapsulating the calm, stress-free tranquillity of Club Med Bali. The breath- taking design of the adults-only Zen space is based around a grand staircase entrance that gives way to the pool area featuring loungers on the water, four-poster beds on the lawn and the welcome shade of overhead canopies suspended from imposing stone columns. With spectacular views over the ocean, the new Zen Pool provides the quintessential atmosphere to soak up the ambience and enjoy a truly tranquil experience in absolute harmony with the surroundings.
And when it comes to dining, the new gourmet lounge The Deck, is the ideal place for holidaymakers to enjoy a meal expertly prepared by the talented team of chefs. Designed with elegant furniture and a terrace extension offering astonishing views over the surrounding seas, the gourmet heaven is designed to create the sensation of a floating structure. The architecture of The Deck is a mix of traditional and modern designs, featuring clean lines and natural materials surrounded by water dappled with colours and reflected light. During the day, the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, and in the evening is transformed to create a magical setting offset with colourful lights, providing a memorable and unique spot to while away the tropical night. The Deck is open from midday to midnight.
Following the refurbishment and upgrading, Club Med Bali’s new deluxe rooms are spacious, elegant and contemporary for all guests to enjoy. Designed to blend modern functionality with an authentic Balinese style, the pristine accommodations provide a generous and comfortable living area. Incorporating locally sourced wood, rattan, fabric, stone into the architectural aspects of the rooms, a warm and inviting ambiance is further enhanced by a muted palette accentuated with soft red tones.
The 49m2 room is designed to allow guests to fully relax and still be privy to the beauty of nature. A daybed in front of the windows brings guests closer to nature while reclining in the comfort of their personal space on a lazy afternoon, while a suspended “cocoon” seat provides guests with yet another cosy option to unwind in. Outside, the shaded terrace opens onto a private garden, complete with armchairs and table, providing the perfect setting for the intimate moments of soothing contemplation.
