On a breezy afternoon in Sentosa, just as the city’s haze begins to clear and the sea breeze picks up, a familiar hum glides across the skyline. But look closer—something’s different. The cable cars now sparkle in soft pastel hues, dressed in intricate motifs and floral prints reminiscent of Koon Seng Road’s iconic shophouses. Singapore’s Sentosa Line isn’t just ferrying visitors from point A to B anymore. It’s celebrating a decade in the sky with a makeover that’s as heartfelt as it is heritage-rich.

To mark its 10th anniversary, the Singapore Cable Car Sentosa Line has rolled out 51 reimagined cabins—each a nod to the Peranakan aesthetic. Inspired by the 1920s architecture once home to Singapore’s vibrant Peranakan communities, these cabins are a cultural tribute suspended above sea and sand.
But this isn’t just about looks. From now till 31 August 2025, Singaporeans, PRs, and local passholders can enjoy a 1-for-1 round trip for just $4, or unlimited rides for $14 for two. Talk about a scenic steal.

Even better? The experience doesn’t end with the ride. At Siloso Point Station, local artist Yeni Lim (@yenidraws)hosts charming embroidery workshops on the last weekend of every month till October. Participants get hands-on with Peranakan-inspired designs, crafting tea towels as keepsakes from their cable car journey. It’s tradition made tactile.

Whether you’re rediscovering Sentosa or bringing out-of-town guests, this reimagined ride lets you appreciate Singapore’s multicultural past while soaking in the present-day skyline. After all, where else can you float above the island in a moving art piece?
Celebrate 10 years of the Sentosa Line and rediscover the city from a pastel-tinted perspective.
