Jointly organized by Esplanade and Urban Redevelopment Authority this event is set to blow you away with their fireworks display. With the government directly involved, you can almost be sure that they are set to impress. This year’s party features the wishing spheres that are set afloat and will be lighted up in various colors. It will be a visual treat for young and old. There will also be performances to keep you entertained while you wait patiently to usher in the new year with dazzling fireworks. The best part? It’s free.

#2 Siloso Beach Party
If bikini babes and hot hunks are your thing, this is the place to be. The Siloso Beach Party is after all, Asia’s largest beach countdown party. Plenty of booze to go around and 12 hours of non-stop action at 5 distinct party zones, including a giant foam pool and sandy dance floor! DJs Shy, K-Sly, Babybomb, Krumbs and VJ Mie will headline this party. And there will be pyrotechnic display when the clock strikes 12. Although it will not be as spectacular as the one in Marina Bay, the hunks and the babes will make up for it.

#3 Marina Bay Sands Ultimate Deck Party
Now, if you have a super deep pocket, you may want to consider the Ultimate Deck Party at Marina Bay Sands hotel. Without a doubt, the observation deck in MBS will offer the best view of Singapore’s skyline in addition to the spectacular pyrotechnics of the Marina Bay countdown. This is the place to be if you want to have a countdown party with a group of friends, without having to jostle with the rest of the crowd. Just you, your friends and party party party.

#4 Singapore Flyer – Countdown Flight
If you really, really could not stand being in a crowded place, the Singapore Flyer might offer the much needed sanctuary for your new year countdown. When you purchase a ticket for the Countdown Flight at the Singapore Flyer, you will be housed in a special themed capsule just before midnight at 11:30pm and will be served a glass of champagne to cheer to the new year. Not to mention that you will have the bird’s eye view of the Singapore skyline on the flight. One thing to note though, there is no guarantee that your capsule will be facing the Marina Bay when the spectacular fireworks set off at the stroke of midnight. This will be perfect for a private gathering of close friends for the countdown.
