14 January 2013, Singapore – This is probably one of the things that I have always wanted for a long time: a highly durable head/earphones. Gone are the days when you need to handle your headphones and earphones with delicate touch or put it away in a hard case making your carry bags bulkier. At CES 2013, Jabra announced the latest range of corded and wireless stereo headphones that is designed for hard-wearing, everyday use and portability and yet not compromising the outstanding sound quality.
Enter Jabra Revo and Jabra Vox. Jabra Revo headphone comes in wireless or corded option, while Jabra Vox is the in-ear earphones. Jabra Revo & Vox feature the Dolby® Digital Plus technology, which when paired with Jabra’s exclusive Sound App for iOS and Android devices creates a much richer and fuller sound that often is missing in digitally compressed audio. Jabra is confident that their latest stereo headphones will satisfy the most discerning audiophiles.
Audio apart, Jabra’s headphones are designed to be ‘used and abused’!! The Jabra Revo headphones are assembled using solid aluminum frame, steel hinges and shatter-proof headband giving it extra flexibility. The Jabra Vox itself is made from premium materials with tangle-free and reinforced cables that have been thoroughly tested for its ultimate durability and performance. And they really look really cool!!
“Headphones are subjected to a lot of wear and tear so consumers are demanding that they are designed to withstand the rigours of regular use,” noted Anne Raaen Rasmussen, Senior Vice President, Mobile Division at Jabra. “Jabra’s line of stereo products has been tested to the extreme, undergoing drop tests, bend tests, fold tests, cable tests, dirt tests and more. These headphones are built to last, without sacrificing style or sound quality.” She wasn’t bluffing you. Check out the video of the tests they did.
- Cable tested (to 15 kg / 33 lbs)
- Bend tested (10,000 times)
- Fold tested (3,500 times)
- Drop tested (from 2 m, 6’6’’)
