21 May 2013, Singapore – HP will power the award-winning Digital & Music Matters taking place here from 20-24 May. This year’s week-long conference and entertainment event will feature the Asia debut of the YouTube FanFest with HP. The two-night showcase will highlight a roster of 20 established and breakout YouTube stars from around the world, with a combined subscriber base of 12.5 million and over 3.8 billion views. This new addition will merge entertainment with education through ‘live’ performances and fresh content from famous and up-and-coming YouTubestars, as well as interactive meet and greet sessions for fans.
“Digital & Music Matters is an excellent opportunity for HP to connect with a new generation of digital natives who are enthusiastic about creating and enjoying content,” said Nick Lazaridis, chief operating officer and vice president, Personal Systems Category, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “We’re excited for the opportunity to provide the latest HP products featuring Windows 8 to the artists at Music Matters Live with HP and YouTube FanFest with HP, and we’re anticipating how they’ll use our innovations to bring their creativity to life and do things that matter to themselves and their fans.”
This year, delegates and budding artists can also look forward to two full days of mentoring sessions and workshops at the Music Matters Academy with HP from 23-24 May. The workshops allow industry experts from the music and entertainment industry to share useful tips and advice to help grow the local talent base, including members of the Singapore Music Society.
