Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced the official release dates of Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII and FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster, newly developed titles under the popular FINAL FANTASY game series by Square Enix.
The English version of Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII is available in Singapore from 11 February onwards at a standard retail price of SGD69.90 (Package version) and SGD59.90 (Download version). A direct sequel to FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 and part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis: FINAL FANTASY series, Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII takes place five hundred years after the events of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 and features Lightning as the main protagonist.
Available on both PS3 and PS Vita, the Asia version of FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster, the HD Remaster version of FINAL FANTASY X and FINAL FANTASY X-2, will be released on 27 February at SGD52.90 for its PS3 version, and SGD39.90 for PS Vita version. This will be followed by the release of the English version on 18 March at SGD52.90 and SGD32.90 for the PS3 and PS Vita versions respectively. Exclusive features of the HD version include a new episode written by Kazushige Nojima, enhanced quality of in-game music and the rearrangement of around 60 soundtracks.
A special promotion will also be held in conjunction with the launch of the two game titles. FunzCentre @ Vivo City, a leading retailer of video games consoles, games and toys, will be remodeled based on a Final Fantasy theme, and all customers who purchase Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII during the promotional period will be entitled to a free Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII poster. This promotion will commence from 13 February and is valid at the Vivo City outlet only.
