Downy Parfum Collection launches its latest range of Fabric Softeners with Scent Switcher Technology and it is available in four variants, namely Mystique, Passion, Happiness and lastly, Innocence. Coupled with Love Bonito, a leading online fashion retailer launched the Downy Parfum Scent x Style Collection with the four variants to create a sensory experience with style.
This gist of Scent Switcher Technology is actually the formulation of microcapsules which seep into clothing during the wash. The scent actually switches upon wearing the clothing due the microcapsules “bursting” and triggering the scent release. Sounds rather futuristic!

– Infused with fruity citrus notes such as Passion fruit, Bergamot and Calamansi which is blended with a floral mix of Lotus, Peony and Jasmine
Mystique
– Inspired by the timeless theme of Paris at Midnight, intriguing and playful.
– Blended with fresh top notes such as Grapefruit, Apricot and infused with lovely floral of French Lilies and Osmanthus
Innocence
– An Enchanting flowery and fruity bouquet of Raspberries and flowers to invigorate a sense of sophisticated femininity and sweetness
Passion
– Sweet and alluring , this mix contains a delectable combination of Apple Blossoms, Freesia and Vanilla topped with Cedarwood
Review
The softeners definitely left my clothes smelling very fresh even after storing in the drawers for a week. I liked that it was also slightly easier to iron certain clothing such as formal shirts and definitely took some time off ironing! The texture of the softeners was rather thick so I used a three-quarter cup rather than a full-sized cup for a heavy wash of 15-20 pieces of clothing and that is pretty economical. The brightly colored bottles definitely brought a smile whilst doing the laundry, even the Hubs decided to help out as well (probably it’s because the clothes smelled so good!). These softeners did not stain dark-colored clothing too, so it’s safe to use for a dark-colored wash.
Verdict: I definitely have a favorite amongst these lovely scents which is the Innocence! I would definitely prefer this compared to other competitors, but probably the scents seem to cater toward the female gender and it might be a tad overwhelming for the males in the household.
