One of the most anticipated liquid foundations (Mostly for me!)  to arrive in Singapore.

With almost 10,000 women on the waiting list, I was ecstatic and waiting eager for our local shores to launch this elusive, state-of-the-art high technology liquid foundation which is set to be Holy Grails for most women. The claim was that this foundation was created via the same technology which was used to capture stellar dust particles from outer space. Sounds too good to be true,eh?
According to YSL, this liquid foundation carries the slogan “ Feels like feather, wears like ink” which implies that the texture is lightweight and yet, it can last 24hours to suit the lifestyles of the modern woman. Just apply once a day and the foundation would not transfer or budge onto your precious white shirts or your partner’s.
I was given a cute sampler to try which coincidently, turned out to be the correct shade in B30. The full sized packaging looks too gorgeous, with a lovely simple gold coloured cap and a cute lip-shaped wand to dab the foundation and focus on your trouble spots on your face.

After Blending the Foundation. Slight pigmentation spots are still slightly visible and also no additional loose powder was needed to set.
Texture:
Extremely watery and when applied, dries to a powder-like finish. When applied to your face, it’s best to blend quickly with a foundation brush or your hands before it dries so it’s pretty good for the mornings. The colour of the foundation does look a little darker than the bottle itself but once blended, it is a close match to your skin.
Coverage:
The salesgirl did mention that the coverage is light to medium. I think this foundation is good for girls who have less trouble areas to conceal. It did cover slight pigmentations but I think another concealer is required for under eye circles, redness or the occasional zits. Perhaps the YSL touché éclat highlighter/concealer can be used in conjunction with this foundation.
Transfer:
I did a quick T-zone blot and was surprised that there was not much transfer of foundation onto the tissue I used. I even tried to use a light rubbing motion to test if more foundation would transfer and not much was transferred!
I asked the salesgirl at the YSL counter when would it be launching at our shores and she was not even sure but most likely it would be Mid-feburary before Chinese New Year or so. The price range was also not known yet so I guess it would be good to pop by to the YSL stores and check it out!
Locations:
YSL at CK Tangs Level 1
YSL Beaute at Ion Orchard, Unit B2-34
