Even with a tried and tested “rubber” phone cover, my iPhone 6+ dislodged and the screen parted with the metallic chassis.
Desperate to get the phone fixed, I went to the usual big boys to get a queue number. I’m not naming who, but one is located at Wheelock, and the other at Plaza Singapura. The response I got on top of the 1.5-2hr wait? “You have to change the back panel, and pay the diagnostic fee to see if the mother board is damaged blah blah blah”
I left, rushing to catch a 4pm flight to Bangkok. A friend texted me to head down to Orchard Plaza, yes the one with all the Japanese “clubs” etc. I found their number online and texted them. Their reply was classic.
Made my way down and Tony fixed my phone in 1 min. and he refused to take a tip for the kind service. I tried to pay in kind, but they refused. (Ok I’m joking) They do help people with problems like cutting of SIM cards and stuff for free too! (Don’t exploit them la)
