Dazzling Café was first launched in 2010 in Taiwan, called Dazzling Café Pink, where it was conceptualised as a cosy and intimate place to meet up with friends for tea or coffee breaks.
“Singaporeans love to eat, they are fast adapters to new concepts as well. We hope to bring a greater awareness to the nascent rise of café culture in Singapore,” said Serene Tan, the Executive Director at Savoury Creations.
The success of the Dazzling chain relies on the menu, interior design, customer service and the good business acumen of its founder, Janet Yang. Key items to try include their famous Shibuya-style honey toast, Signature mochi “QQ” Waffle and their popular Mentaiko pasta. Celebrities and socialites are commonly spotted at the various Dazzling outlets in Taiwan and fans sometimes stake out the chain just to get a glimpse of their idols.
The team at Dazzling came up with a their in-house toasting technique which is used for their popular honey toast and waffle. The honey toast includes ingredients such as strawberries, honey, custard, pistachio, a scoop of Haagen Dazs Ice Cream and is lastly finished off with a honey jug just beside the crispy yet soft toast. It is a perfect dish to pair with their exclusive Mariage Freres and Hediard tea selections during afternoon tea dates or even with their in-house pastas.
Depending on their choice, consumers can choose to add on mochi filling in their waffles, drizzled with honey or chocolate sauce all around and lastly topped with a scoop of Haagen Dazs Ice Cream at the centre.
Another favourite on the menu, Dazzling’s Mentaiko pasta, is served with shredded seaweed and a spoonful of roe at the tip of the pasta, mixed with creamy sauce and Mentaiko roe, a sweet-salty, pink and flaky condiment that leaves you coming back for more each time.
Inspired by the French flair aesthetic, Dazzling is everyone’s paradise for a sweet and whimsical retreat. From servers warmly greeting you at the door to diamond doorknobs, unicorn displays, rabbit chairs and glistening chandeliers, you are bound to be brought into a room full of adventure. While waiting for your food to be served, relax at the champagne bar and second floor alfresco dining area and also get to experience dining under the stars with a unique crystalline rooftop made of glass.
