Hosted at Gardens by the Bay, the exhibition journey begins by exploring the link between two generations of Singaporeans in the 1960s and in 2030, drawing inspiration from the values of care and consideration for one another, having faith and confidence in our dreams and values which steered our pioneers to achieve a better Singapore. Visitors are guided through six immersive and interactive zones, exploring the exciting possibilities and shared dreams for our future, building on the legacy of those who came before us.

Blue Skies

To reflect what matters to people, ‘The Future of Us’ exhibition’s organising committee engaged and consulted over 100 public, private and people sector organisations across different industries and disciplines in curating the possible scenarios of the future of Singapore showcased at the exhibition. Additionally, visitors can also look forward to handling and experiencing some of the latest innovations offered by the exhibition’s partners at The Marketplace.

Symphony of the City

Mr Gene Tan, Creative Director, ‘The Future of Us’ exhibition, said: “The entire process of setting up ‘The Future of Us’ exhibition is a culmination of the efforts and inputs of the many partner organisations from both the public and private sector. We are heartened that more than 85% of the free tickets available for December 2015 have been booked. We look forward to reaching out to more visitors over the next few months till the exhibition ends in early March. It is important that visitors to the exhibition understand that the future has not been cast in stone. Instead, we hope every Singaporean who visits ‘The Future of Us’ will be inspired to start thinking, sharing and even get actively involved in the future of “us” to write the next chapter of the Singapore story together.”

The Lion

Minister Heng Swee Keat, Chairman of the Singapore50 (SG50) Steering Committee said: “It is timely to cast our eyes forward. ‘The Future of Us’ exhibition presents us with glimpses of how we can live, work, learn and care in the future. But our future is really for all of us to continue to imagine, shape, and strive for, together, based on our shared values. This SG50 year, we have been celebrating what brought us this far, and what bond us as one today. I hope that the exhibition will inspire us to dream, to come together, to share and to commit our aspirations into action for a better Singapore.”
