You may have stretched and even damaged your earlobes by wearing heavy, dangling earrings. Or you may have torn an earlobe in an accident, or gotten a keloid scar as a result of a simple ear piercing.
Over time, the stretch can only worsen and get bigger, distorting the aesthetic shape of the ear.
Sutureless Earlobe Sealing is a technique designed to target stretched earlobes and to allow these stretched earlobes to close up without the use of sutures.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
Very precise amounts of acid are placed along the circumference of the stretched ear hole using a tiny needle. Immediately, whitening of the treated skin results as the acid denatures the part of the treated skin. Surrounding areas can have mild redness and swelling. All of these changes – whitening, reddening, swelling start to subside after approximately 1 hour.
Thereafter, good sun protection is crucial to avoid possible darkening due to UV light. Subsequent treatment sessions are placed 2 to 4 weeks apart. Degree of improvement varies between individuals ranging between 3 – 6 sessions for complete sealing depending on the width of the stretched hole.
This is a procedure that allows new skin to grow across the stretched hole, thereafter, there are no suture marks and yes you can still have new piercings done should you wish to!
