CANON EOS R8: ELEVATE YOUR CONTENT CREATION WITH CANON’S LATEST FULL-FRAME MIRRORLESS CAMERA

Discover the powerful features and versatility of the new EOS R8, including two new RF lenses designed to meet the demands of professional content creators.

Canon has unveiled the EOS R8, their latest full-frame mirrorless camera that offers an affordable entry point for content creators looking to enhance their videography and production capabilities. Combining powerful video and still shooting features found in the EOS R6 Mark II, such as Canon Log 3 and 40 fps continuous shooting, with the portability of the EOS RP, the EOS R8 is set to revolutionize the content creation landscape.

Weighing just 461g with the battery pack and SD card, the EOS R8 is Canon’s lightest full-frame mirrorless camera. It ensures agility for creative camera angles and transitions, making it perfect for budding content creators. With Movie Digital IS, the EOS R8 offers tilt correction and 5-axis image stabilization for stable handheld videos, even when using lenses without optical image stabilization (Optical IS).

The EOS R8 is equipped to handle various production needs, from event coverage to documentaries and short films. Its 24.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor enables 6K data acquisition, producing high-quality, cropless, oversampled 4K UHD footage at up to 60p. Additionally, the EOS R8 offers heat suppression measures, allowing for up to 4K 30p recording without time restrictions and up to 30 minutes at 4K 60p.

Other notable features include dramatic 6x slow-motion video with Full HD 180p, HDR PQ video and Canon Log 3 for enhanced post-production workflows, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology for consistent and seamless focus. The EOS R8 also boasts low light limits of up to EV-6.5 for stills and EV-4 for video, making it ideal for capturing scenes in dark conditions.

To further enhance your video creations, the EOS R8 offers professional cinema camera features such as focus breathing correction, false colors and zebras for exposure adjustment, aspect marker display for social media dimensions, and UVC/UAC support for plug-and-play audio and Full HD video transmission to a computer via USB connection.

Canon has also introduced two new RF lenses: the RF24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM and the RF-S55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM. Both lenses offer up to 4.5 stops of Optical IS and support for focus breathing correction. The RF24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM is the smallest and lightest RF-mount zoom lens for full-frame cameras, while the RF-S55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM offers an ultra-portable telephoto zoom lens for APS-C EOS R camera bodies.
