We are all too familiar with the hotels in Sukhumvit and Silom area. Most of us just want to be near the main shopping area or simply next to the BTS due to the horrendous traffic of Bangkok. But if you are looking for a hotel that is slightly further from the hustle and bustle of the congested “prime” area, Chatrium Residence Sathon is a good option. The Metropolitant team was just in Bangkok during the New Year and we stayed in 2 of the 5 star chain hotels in the Sathorn area. But sadly, the service was nothing like the warm welcome we experienced at the Chatrium Sathon.

And no gym session is complete with the sauna, steam rooms, or Jacuzzi experience.
Want to catch some sun, and do some laps in the pool? Their free-form swimming pool is always ready for a few splashes. And while you’re taking a break from your laps, take the time to enjoy the beautiful manicured tropical gardens, while you sip on a glass of Mai Tai.

All we needed was the affordable rates, free high speed wifi, late check-out and shuttle service to convince us to stay at the Chatrium Residence the next time we visit Bangkok.
