Singapore’s first ever French drive-in movie event, P.S. I Love You, concluded on a high note today. Organised by Cycle & Carriage and Citroën, the event kicked off the Valentine’s weekend in style by drawing an overwhelming response, with close to 100 vehicles and almost 600 attendees in total.

In the spirit of the Valentine’s season, the event also celebrated ten years of love and partnership between Cycle & Carriage and Citroën. To thank Singapore for their support over the past decade, guests were treated to a romantic drive-in movie event which included fun-filled activities and the screening of the critically acclaimed French romantic comedy, Priceless (Hors de Prix).

Guests also got to test-drive Citroën’s range of award-winning car models -The C4 Cactus, The C4 Picasso and The Grand C4 Picasso (Descriptions of the car models are available in Appendix A). Keeping with the French theme, the Food Fair served up savories and sweets from French restaurant & Salon de thé, Antoinette. The Food Fair proved to be a hit, as the crowd was spoilt for choice with a selection of classic French favourites including crêpes, fresh pastries and baguette sandwiches. To top off the fun, the event grounds were also packed with activities, including a life-sized Snakes & Ladders game and a unique Velcro photobooth.

Citroën Sales & Marketing Manager, Mr Dave Wong said, “We are delighted that P.S. I Love You received such positive response during its debut. Inspired by Citroën’s French origin, also known as the Country of Love, we are glad to be able to tie in this event in time with Valentine’s Day for families and couples to enjoy themselves. In celebration of our 10th year of partnership with Cycle & Carriage, we also wanted to show Singapore how a car is not just a ride, but rather, an experience.”

Over the past weeks, Cycle & Carriage and Citroën also organised the P.S. I Love You Instagram Contest. Participants were invited to recreate the Citroën logo using any everyday objects, and upload it on Instagram with the hashtags #PSILoveYou and #CitroenSG. 10 of the most creative entries will win exclusive Citroën gift sets worth S$100 from Citroën’s boutique in Paris. The contest ends tonight at 23.59pm.

The Metropolitant husband and wife team, Michelle and Jason had a great time at this unique event. Being their first time attending a drive-in movie, it was an eye opening experience and definitely sets the bar high for such events. The variety of activities from the Singaporean favourite pastime of eating (French food by Antoinette, no less) to test driving the now more affordable Citroen cars (drop in COE prices) kept them engaged in the atmosphere of love.

Watch out for more lovey dovey activities organized by Citroen in the near future. For now, how about a romantic discussion with your loved one about that cheaper car perhaps?
