STEP INTO THE ENCHANTED ELEGANCE OF JUNGLE BALLROOM AT MONDRIAN SINGAPORE DUXTON

Step into the lush allure of Jungle Ballroom, Mondrian Singapore Duxton’s new nocturnal haven with a 2am license, renowned mixologist Adrian Besa at the helm, and an ambience that oozes sophisticated revelry. Adrian, one of the region’s most celebrated bartenders, previously led a team that secured the esteemed ‘Art of Hospitality’ award at Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2021. Now, he and his gifted crew, in collaboration with esteemed hospitality consultancy Proof & Co., have crafted an imaginative cocktail menu that is a visual and sensory delight.

Jungle Ballroom beckons its patrons on a cocktail journey through different layers of a jungle; from the Jungle Canopy with the ‘View From the Treetops’, to the Understorey with a ‘Rose-hued Waterfall’, to the Forest Floor where you stumble upon ‘The Lost Ruins’. On this libationary expedition, you will encounter unique ingredients like longan, banana leaf, young mango, turmeric, black sesame, ginger, and cacao.

Adrian credits his daring and adventurous approach to cocktails to his upbringing in Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines. He’s equally audacious in his choice of spirits, vowing to import unique ones from across Southeast Asia, thereby creating the most diverse Southeast Asian spirits collection of any bar in Singapore. Regular regional excursions, named ‘Jungle Journeys’, further fuel the bar’s innovative edge, infusing new ideas, flavours, and liquors from various cultural exchanges.

Designed by Robbyn Carter, founder and principal of California-based Studio Carter, Jungle Ballroom’s interiors beautifully blend Singapore’s lush foliage and eclectic architectural elements, paying tribute to the city’s rich architectural history. The venue’s dark dreamy interiors, low seating, and the view onto the lit garden make it a versatile space for either grand parties or intimate moments.

Art enthusiasts will appreciate psychedelic, kaleidoscopic artworks by Australia’s Emma Anna adorning the Jungle Ballroom’s walls. Her ‘Flower Mandala’ creations are large-scale digital collages, inspired by magic realist storytelling and composed of photographs of exotic blooms. Talenia Phua Gajardo, curator of the Mondrian Duxton’s impressive art collection, believes these works complement the Jungle Ballroom due to their vibrant tropical flowers symbolising fertility, sensuality, and abundance.

Whether you’re an art connoisseur, cocktail lover, or simply seeking a unique destination, Jungle Ballroom welcomes you to an immersive experience that promises to delight all your senses.
