On a bustling afternoon in Clarke Quay Central, the aroma of spices drifts through the air, carrying with it stories of family kitchens, festive gatherings, and recipes passed down through generations. This is where D’Legacy, the latest resident at Chef X, is serving up hearty Eurasian comfort food from 7 August to 1 October 2025.

The mother-son duo, Philomena and Daryl Nonis, are the heart behind D’Legacy. What began as family cooking evolved into pop-ups and community fairs before finding a new home at Chef X, Far East Organization’s initiative that gives home-based chefs the opportunity to bring their culinary dreams into a commercial kitchen. Their mission is simple yet powerful. To preserve and share the richness of Eurasian food and heritage with a wider audience.

A Taste of Heritage
Every dish at D’Legacy tells a story. Their Signature Shepherd’s Pie blends familiar Eurasian roots with Asian spices, topped with creamy golden mash and served alongside Caesar Salad. The Curry Devil, a dish that varies in every Eurasian household, is their family’s gentle and fragrant take. Warm aromatics and a subtle sweetness are paired with omelette and Basmati rice. For those craving something soulful, the Babi Pongteh offers slow-braised pork belly and potatoes in a mellow stew, while the iconic Sugee Cake evokes birthdays, weddings, and festive celebrations.
Guests can also enjoy comforting family recipes such as Chicken A La King Soup, Theresa’s Spicy Tofu Soup, and a homestyle Spaghetti Bolognese. Each plate keeps heritage alive one serving at a time.

More Than a Meal
D’Legacy is not just about food. With every Shepherd’s Pie sold, 10% of proceeds go to Causes for Animals Singapore, reflecting the family’s values of care and community. For Singapore’s 60th birthday, they are offering a special sambal deal, two bottles for $30. New members of the shopFarEast app can also enjoy full set meals at just $8 during the residency.

Located at Chef X, Clarke Quay Central (#03-103/104), D’Legacy is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11.30am to 9pm. For updates, follow them on Instagram or message +65 88757522.
