The resort’s seasonal line-up includes a POP MART collaboration at the Singapore Oceanarium, a Minions takeover at Universal Studios Singapore and Sanrio’s Hapidanbui at Adventure Cove Waterpark.
Resorts World Sentosa is launching a series of limited-time experiences across its attractions this summer, giving visitors several new reasons to plan a trip to Sentosa during the school holidays.
The line-up spans Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark and the Singapore Oceanarium, with activations centred around POP MART’s CRYBABY, Illumination’s Minions & Monsters and Sanrio’s Hapidanbui characters. Together, they form the integrated resort’s Summer of Treasures campaign.
POP MART’s CRYBABY arrives at the Singapore Oceanarium
One of the biggest highlights is CRYBABY: Cry Me an Ocean, which runs from Jun. 24 to Aug. 30.
The activation features 11 installations across the Singapore Oceanarium and WEAVE, including nine displays inside the Oceanarium and two outdoor installations. Each character has been reimagined as a marine creature, with stories inspired by real ocean animals and themes such as resilience, friendship, hope and self acceptance.
Visitors can expect oversized installations including five metre Anglerfish and Pufferfish inflatables, a Whale Shark sculpture, a Manta Ray sculpture, an immersive light installation known as The Gathering Tide, and smaller CRYBABY figurines hidden throughout the Singapore’s Coast habitat.
Minions take over Universal Studios Singapore
Universal Studios Singapore is also marking the release of Minions & Monsters with a park-wide event running until Aug. 11.
The seasonal activation introduces new characters Howard, Irene, James and Henry, alongside the new Conjuring Chaoslive show. Guests can also purchase themed menu items including Irene’s Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, James’ Banana & Hazelnut Bombolone and Minions Spellbinding Tea, as well as exclusive merchandise available only inside the park. The experience is included with regular admission.
Sanrio heads to Adventure Cove Waterpark
Adventure Cove Waterpark is joining the celebrations with its first Sanrio Hapidanbui Summer, running until Aug. 30.
The event brings together Hangyodon, Kerokerokeroppi, Tuxedosam, Ahirunopekkle, Bad Badtz-Maru and Pochacco through themed inflatables, photo spots, food and merchandise. Guests also receive one of six temporary tattoos upon entry, while qualifying food and retail purchases come with exclusive waterproof Sanrio stickers.
With three attractions introducing new experiences at the same time, Resorts World Sentosa is giving families, collectors and theme park fans more reasons to spend a day exploring the resort during the school holidays.
