6 January 2013, Singapore – Hello Metropolitants ! Hope all of you had a wonderful start to the New Year! I have been hearing some big beauty news about an improved Blemish Balm (aka BB) cream, called the Complete Correction, or also called ‘’CC’’,cream which is about take 2013 by storm. ! It’s so highly anticipated that even Wikipedia, has a web-link dedicated to it!
BB creams have become a makeup staple in every woman’s makeup bag due to its multi-functional time saving property and the foundation –like coverage it provides to conceal imperfections. Gone are those days of heavy feel foundations and say hello to the CC creams! The new creams would contain more skin-nourishing ingredients, anti-ageing and skin-targeted benefits such as age pigmentation, and of course, a higher SPF rating with protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays. In addition, it is reported that the new creams are a hybrid of moisturizer and BB cream but doesn’t cake after long hours of wear.
Chanel would be the first to launch its first CC cream, Complete Correction Cream SPF30/PA+++ in Asia in January 2013, and those in the pipeline would be Kiehls, Lancome and Philosophy.
I am intrigued by Lancôme’s Rénergie CC Multi-Lift Instant Color Corrector which reportedly claims to provide the coverage of a BB cream and hitherto, provide lifting properties and a velvety, fresh looking finish to the skin. Surely sounds worth a try!
Definitely not forgetting sensitive-skinned girls who prefer cos-medicare (cosmetic and dermatological care in one) products, Kiehls and Philosophy would be launching their own BB creams as well. The Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream and Philosophy Be Your Best Skin Perfecting B.B. Cream, both of which are unfragranced , contains SPF50 and SPF30, respectively.
