The newly-opened MAD Museum of Art and Design is not just an art gallery which houses various international artists. It’s current new 19,000 sq. ft. space also houses Make A Difference, both a bistro and an intimate whisky and cigar bar. MAD was started in 2009 with the sole purpose of promoting and making art design accessible to everyone.
Founder, Ms Jasmine Tay, also known fondly as the MAD Lady, boldly introduces a brand new concept for Singapore, opening her first private Museum of Art & Design (M.A.D) in the heart of Orchard Road. In the exclusive world of art, MAD’s main intent is to educate, excite and extend the world of modern art to those who have not been privileged enough (yet) to immerse and experience. With its exciting calendar year of emerging and superstar artists lined up in various exhibitions and events relating to fashion, art, design and life- MAD is the destination for not only art purists and buyers but also to those who can appreciate the influence of art and design on our every day life. Its multi disciplinary and lateral approach is why MAD is truly mad about art.
Check out the full gallery and some pictures of the yummy nosh they serve at Make A Difference bistro. In our opinion, MAD is not just a gallery but a destination to immerse yourself in the pieces curated by the MAD Lady.
